4th Annual BBQ, Brews, and Comedy
To benefit Novato and Marin Community Service Programs
Rotary Club of Ignacio’s upcoming Fourth Annual BBQ, Brews, and Comedy fundraiser will benefit nonprofit and community service programs in Novato and the Marin community. The event will take place at the Jonas Center on the Indian Valley campus of College of Marin on Saturday, September 20.
Over the last year alone, Rotary Club of Ignacio provided nearly $120,000 in grants that included restoring the South Hamilton Field for the Novato South Little League, supporting the North Marin Community Service Food Pantry, building flower and vegetable beds for the “Garden of Eaten” at the North Bay Children’s Center, providing Rotary Youth Leadership Academy Scholarships, providing field trips to the Book Exchange of Marin, planting of over 600 native plants for the Monarch Habitat, restoration of the Novato High School garden, presenting Service Above Self awards to recognize members of the Novato Fire Protection District and the Novato Police Department Office, and considerably more efforts to support Novato and our Marin community.
Past Rotary District Governor, Laine Hendricks, will be Emcee, and will be joined by comedians Joe Klocek, featured on Comedy Central, NBC and NPR, Brian Tomas, with a special appearance by comedian and magician Ken Garr.
