Experience the perfect blend of wine country casual and Old World elegance with a special visit to Pacheco Ranch Winery, a family-owned boutique winery in Novato.
Open by appointment only, this historic California winery has a rich local heritage that traces back to 1840 when Novato pioneer Ignacio Pacheco settled here on a 6,680 acre Land Grant awarded to him by the Mexican government. Credited with planting the first wine grapes in this region, Pacheco’s original Italianate estate and terraced vineyards still occupy roughly seventy acres of the original grant property in the hills outside Ignacio.
Today, the remaining land and winery are still owned by Pacheco’s descendants who proudly carry on their family “heritage of excellence” in winemaking. The small, modern facility bottles approximately 800 cases of award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon annually from the estate’s dry farmed vines. Head winemaker, Jamie Meves, has over 30 years experience handcrafting unique fine vintages in the tradition of the Pacheco family.
Picturesque Pacheco Ranch estate is the perfect place to plan your next special event or celebration. Whether you’re tying the knot or holding a corporate fundraiser, Pacheco Ranch Winery offers a beautiful, secluded setting that feels miles away from nearby downtown.
