Trail Riding Program

Wednesday, July 25, 2018

Join Marin County Parks for a summer series of rides to build confidence on Marin’s mountain biking trails. Skilled mountain bikers and veterans of Marin’s off-road trails offer tips and techniques for beginners and teach riders proper trail etiquette, how to improve balance, read the trail and pick a line, safely navigate switchbacks and other trail features in order to build confidence and skill.

This event is ideal for ages 10 and up though riders of all ages are welcome. Degree of difficult: Easy. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and sturdy shoes. Don’t forget to bring your bike, helmet, and pads. Water and healthy snacks will be provided. Event organizers request that no pets (except service animals) attend.

Park entrance is waived for participants. RSVP required; event is limited to 20 participants.

Directions: From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for San Marin Dr west 2.3 miles. Turn right onto San Andreas Dr and follow for 0.5 miles. The gate is on the right (before dead end).

High fire danger cancels: Call (415) 473-7191 to get an update on fire danger status and land closures. If a “Red Flag” warning is in effect, all walks and events on Open Space District preserves are cancelled.

For persons with disabilities: Events and locations may have limited accessibility.
