Search for Amelia Earhart

Friday, September 15, 2017

Dr. Tom King, National Geographic lead Archaeologist, will be presenting a talk about his early career and the search for Amelia Earhart.

Working with TIGHAR (The International Group for Historic Aviation Recovery), Dr King and his colleagues have been testing the hypothesis that Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan landed, and eventually died, on Gardner Island – now Nikumaroro in the Republic of Kiribati.

Dr King will also discuss his involvement with the former Novato High School Archaeology Club and the beginnings of the Marin Museum of the American Indian.

This event has ended.
