Does your child want to be a firefighter when he or she grows up? Bring the kids to Novato for an exclusive look at the town’s heroes in action.
All fire stations in Novato are opening their doors to the public on Sunday, October 4th, for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into a day in the life of the amazing men and women who put their lives on the line for our safety every day.
Stop by Station 62 at 450 Atherton Ave at 1:30 pm for a special live demonstration. Novato Fire Chief Mark Heine narrates as the hard-working ladies and gentlemen of Station 62 show spectators the power behind the Jaws of Life and take photos with the crowd. See the fire engine in action, with the ladder extended as firefighters explain how they use the truck’s many features to extinguish the devastating fires that have been sweeping through Northern California recently.
All Novato fire stations welcome you to stop by and take a look around the firehouse on October 4th from 10 am – 1 pm.
