The Novato Art and Wine Festival will be held June 14-15 in downtown Novato, between Redwood Boulevard and 7th Street. Come downtown to join the festivities beginning at 10am. The festival shuts down at 7pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday, giving you plenty of time to head out to one of Novato’s finest restaurants or bars to continue the fun.
The Novato Art and Wine Festival provides fun for all ages. The kids area features interactive art projects, a climbing wall, train rides, petting zoo, bounce house, jumbo slides, dunk tank, and slot car racing. There’ll also be plenty of booths filled with unique treasures, inspired artwork, and hand-crafted apparel and jewelry.
While you’re at the Novato Art and Wine Festival, you’ll have the opportunity to fill up on traditional festival fare like kabobs and corn dogs or gourmet artisan food like calamari and pulled pork sandwiches. You’ll want to wash it down with local wines and beers, including Novato’s own award winning micro-brewery, Moylan’s, all of which can be purchased in a souvenir glass. Be sure to bring cash as the wine and beer booths don’t take credit cards.
For the music lover in you, the festival features two stages for non-stop music with everything from country and folk to punk and reggae. Be sure to check out Afrolicious for funk, disco, and afro-beats; Crystal Bowersox for blues, country, folk, and rock; and Eric Martin, the award winning solo artist and front man for Mr. Big, for rock and pop.
