Native Expressions, Art Exhibit at Museum of the American Indian

Museum of the American Indian in Novato will feature Native American art masks and other mixed/mixed works including Southwest style masks, photography, serigraphs, rawhide shields and other works by artist Becky Olvera Schultz.

Her art is inspired by the peoples indigenous to the Americas and her masks have been described as intense, awesome, powerful, cutting edge, beautiful, spiritual, dramatic and even intimidating. The art masks have been featured in the national magazines Cowboys and Indians, Wild West and Native Peoples.

The opening reception is Saturday, March 2 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Free admission to members, $5.00 for non-members

The Museum of the American Indian in Novato at Miwok Park is a non-profit and donations are welcome. Suggested Donation Admission to ongoing exhibit for non-members: Adults: $5, Children/Seniors: $3, Families,$10
