The annual Marin Turkey Trot, which takes place on Thanksgiving Day morning, is actually four running events in one. It includes a one mile youth race (a.k.a. the Youth Gobbler), a 5K Turkey Trot, and a 10K Pilgrim race.
Whether you’re an experienced runner, or just like to run for fun, this Marin tradition is a great way to work up an appetite for the afternoon’s festivities, or just burn off a few pre-emptive calories. Participating runners are invited to get into the giving spirit by bringing a food item for donation to the San Francisco/Marin Food Bank. Registered runners who finish take home a t-shirt, the famous finisher mug and other swag.
Races begin at 1800 Ignacio Blvd., Novato, CA 94949
