Fresh Starts Chef Events: Joanne Weir

Chef Joanne Weir, host of “Plates & Places” joins Fresh Starts Chef Events for an evening of outstanding cuisine. As co-owner of Copita Tequileria & Comida in Sausalito, Weir will demonstrate three courses and share stories about cooking, her James Beard Award-winning cookbooks and recent travels as a culinary guide.

Menu:

• Endive Salad with Oranges, Marcona Almonds & Cabrales Cheese
• Paella with Chicken, Shell Beans & Green Beans
• Torta di Santiago (Spanish almond cake) with Pear Compote
• Guests will enjoy each course in turn, all prepared by the Fresh Starts culinary team with Chef Joanne’s direction and delivered to your table. Each reservation includes two glasses of wine, if desired, to accompany your meal.

All proceeds benefit shelter and job-training programs at Homeward Bound of Marin.
