Birds at Rush Creek

Sunday, November 17, 2019

Head to Rush Creek Preserve for a discussion about what makes wetlands unique and important for many of our migratory birds. As you hike, you’ll discuss birds commonly found in the area, unique attributes of different groups of birds, and ways to identify for beginners.

This event is ideal for ages 12 and up. The walk will be relatively flat with a distance of between 3 ½ to 4 miles roundtrip. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. We’ll provide water and healthy snacks. Organizers request no pets (except service animals) attend.

High fire danger or rain may cancel: Call (415) 473-7191 to get an update on fire danger status and land closures. If a “Red Flag” warning is in effect, all walks and events on Open Space District preserves are cancelled. Rain will cancel.

From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave east. Turn left onto Binford Rd. The gate is on the right.

FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: Events and locations may have limited accessibility.

This event has ended.
