Arun Thai Restaurant

The story behind Arun Thai Restaurant’s name stems from a legend about the first king of Thailand and his prayers to Buddha for safety. When the king realized Buddha had answered his prayers, he decided the horizon upon which he was looking at will be the location of The Temple of Dawn, named “Wat Arun.”

The restaurant, located in Novato, keeps close to its roots and produces delicious, authentic Thai food. Creating dishes from locally produced ingredients, menu options are varied ranging from curry entrees and stir-fry to satay and Thai Islamic Lamb.

The popular venue is frequented by many locals. The pumpkin curry and coconut ice cream are favorites, as well as the authentic Tom Kha Gai soup, In addition to the fantastic food, both beer and wine are served.
